Shinta Mani Hotel, an international chain hotel, is set to offer its services in Nepal. It has taken over the management of the Moksha Mustang Resort, which is located in Mustang.
Kathmandu-based Sherpa Hospitality Group (SHG), a subsidiary of Yeti World and owners of the Moksha Mustang Resort, have signed a memorandum of understanding with Bangkok-based HMD Asia to re-develop Moksha Mustang as their first internationally flagged Shinta Mani Hotel.
Surrounded by the majestic Himalayas, Mustang is a magical and spiritual destination with its amazing landscapes and Buddhist culture.
The 29-room Shinta Mani Mustang Resort will be managed by its owners, SHG and is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2022, according to SHG.
Prior to opening as a Shinta Mani hotel, architect Bill Bensley will add his creative touches to the property.
Bensley, who was in Mustang recently, shared that he found the destination to be totally unique.
Activities at this resort will include trekking, horse riding, rock climbing, cycling, archery, hiking, helicopter tours and wellness, with a personalised guest experience.
In line with Shinta Mani’s philosophy of giving back to the communities, a charitable foundation will be created for this purpose.
The package tour includes room, air transfers, activities, spa, food and beverage while the guests are required to pay extra for helicopter tours.
Rates at the Shinta Mani Mustang Resort for the all-inclusive programme will start from US$1,500 per night.
During the signing ceremony held on February 19 this year, Sokoun Chanpreda, Managing Director of HMD Asia, had said that they were delighted to be entering into the agreement with SHG and highly value the partnership with them. “We have incredible synergies between our brands and look forward to a fruitful and successful alliance in this very special destination.”
Namgyal Sherpa, owner of SHG, said that the group has been promoting experiential travel in remote areas of Nepal for many years. “It has been our dream to create world class, luxury hotel experiences in the Himalayas. So, we have partnered with the Shinta Mani brand.”
He added that the SHG was excited to be pushing the boundaries and creating a new and exciting project that would help re-position Nepal as a luxury adventure destination.
